I really appreciated this author's emphasis on copy editing and proofreading, including a warning not to rely only on software's grammar and spelling checkers. My respect for the information being provided took a bit of a hit with the link to wildproofreading (it took me to a page full of advertising links). The link to supremeessays provided a big red flag for those of us working in the academic fields. My respect for the information being provided took a bit of a hit with the link to wildproofreading (it took me to a page full of advertising links). The link to supremeessays provided a big red flag for those of us working in the academic fields. I did appreciate the links to Copyright duration and <Online Defamation Law as well as many other useful links. There are a lot of good resources in the back, including a wonderful list of the full link (by chapters) so we can see exactly where we are going. In my copy, there were a surprising number of mistakes, ranging from formatting issues to multiple repeats of paragraphs (cut-pasted to make proposed corrections and probably forgot to delete the original paragraph). Ironically, she herself did an excellent job of expressing my feelings on this issue. You haven’t taken care to present your work to them properly, so why should they go on believing what they're reading? You're entering a fragile contract of trust with your reader. Early mistakes will not be tolerated - subconsciously, if not consciously. I survived the mistakes, and ended up really liking the book, but they did bother me. Finally, I want to add a thank you to the author since I gained a much deeper appreciation for how hard it can be to actually produce a high-quality, well-formatted, nicely proofread ebook.

This book offers simple, easy to follow instructions on formatting your manuscript into an ebook. The table of contents allows you to skip back and forth to re-read sections as you follow the advice given by Stephanie Zia.

A nifty book on getting published in the ebook world. A British publication, but the author includes currency conversion for America. She keeps this book updated every couple of months in the ever changing world of self publishing ebook-style.

Beware of books like this. It takes a lot of very hard work, and a lot of time, to successfully self-publish your writing. There are no shortcuts.
