Port of Earth is another series that gets better with every book. It started as hard sci-fi with an interesting premise (aliens building a port on Eart in exchange for technologies) a slowly turned into an entertaining story about conspiracy and what are the leaders willing to do for profit. Really worth the read for every sci-fi fan.

Port of Earth is going full sci-fi version of later series of "Homeland". If I look back, PoE started with an interesting setting but somehow felt like it groped which way it should go. But it eventually found its direction and I must say it's nice little sci-fi comics series with a good premise. But I would strongly recommend waiting until this series is finished (if it ever will be). The third book (each book has 4 issues) ends in the middle of the story even if 12th issue claims it is "end of Port of Earth is going full sci-fi version of later series of "Homeland". The third book (each book has 4 issues) ends in the middle of the story even if 12th issue claims it is "end of the story arc". And this series comes out slowly - with rate of12 issues over two years this speed is killing all the thrill. So I strongly recommend picking up this series, but not until it is finished (if it ever will).

The series starts to clearly paint the image of the trading consortium that takes advantage of the Port of Earth. Intrigue and political machinations lead to a finale that is interesting enough to want for more.

it's still pretty dumb but at least the message it's conveying is the correct one (the uber-rich are not our friends).
